Metro Door Hosts DDI's Holiday PartyMetro Door is pleased to support the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), which provides services for individuals with autism and other developmentally disabled individuals with severely challenging behaviors. In December, Metro Door Hosted DDI's holiday party, providing a Santa Claus, elves and individual gifts donated for the children. A fun and festive time was had by all!

Pat Lyons Foundation
Last September, Metro Door was a major sponsor of the Pat Lyons Foundation 2006 Golf Classic, the largest one-day charity golf outing on Long Island, which raised $70,000 to help children afflicted with cancer.Metro Door has been active in supporting the Pat Lyons Foundation for several years. In 2004, our company ran a mock "Apprentice" TV reality show competition to raise funds, while in 2005 we were a major sponsor of the foundation's annual golf outing.
In the name of a fallen 9/11 hero, The Pat Lyons Foundation is dedicated to bettering the lives of sick children. The foundation strives to enhance the lives of the seriously ill, and to assist children who have survived cancer and are now experiencing the late effects of their invasive treatments. The Pat Lyons Foundation also funds organizations whose mission is to find a cure for these terrible diseases through pediatric research and ongoing education.
